Aalok is a member of APMs Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APMs PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMOs within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

- 2. + HARDWARE Footage Camera - Panasonic To get the footage for the music video, we used this camcorder. This camera has benefitted us, because it has high quality when rendered onto the computer. We also used a tripod that comes with the camera to get the still shots, and didn't use it for the handheld camera moments. Stills Camera - Canon To get the images for the website and digipak, we used this camera. This is also a high quality camera, and when we put the images on the computer, they were clear, and very good to edit with.
- 3. + SOFTWARE Video Editing Software - Final Cut Express This software is used professionally, and we have the benefit of accessing it in college. It lets you do a lot of different things to your video if you know how to use it, so I looked at some YouTube tutorials and editing exercises on learning the basics of video editing on this software. It lets you put on different filters and use different editing techniques to make our video look more vibrant. Image Editing Software - Adobe Photoshop This software is also used professionally to let you edit your images. It is a widely used programme all over the world. We used this to create the digipak and edit some images to put onto the website. Website Creation Software - WIX This is an online software that we used to create the website, it lets you create a website from scratch, and gives you tips on how to make your website look as professional as possible, and our website looks like it does.
