How does your media product present particular social groups?
During our project we decided to follow the conventions of a chick flick. This is because we wanted our audience to understand our characters
straight away and we wanted them to be able to relate to the individual characters.
One thing that gave us inspiration is after watch the St. Trinian’s trailer. They had clear divisions between the different characters and followed
the conventions of a chick flick. Another chick flick that we felt did this well was mean girls. This can be viewed via their trailer on YouTube but
like St. Trinian’s its a key part in the film.

As part of our research and planning we decided to develop our characters by fitting to social groups you would find in a secondary school.
We created background information about each character so that they had a clear basis of what they would be like in the film opening.
