I feel the message throughout all products stayed true to the

When thinking about my
products in terms of the
audience theory, and the
hypodermic needle theory. It
suggests that the audience
interpret the message as the
institution intended so when
applying this theory to my
products, the audience would
interpret my ancillary and
main product as professional,
informative and provide the
feeling of community and
togetherness.
Similarly Stuart Hall created the
reception theory which suggests
the audience interpret media text
in one of four ways. Preferred
reading, Oppositional reading,
Aberrant reading and Oppositional
reading. An
example of an oppositional reading
would be that my
product isnt professional and
informative. However and Aberrant
reading would be and individual
interpretation such as its
aesthetically pleasing but
like James said one of the ancillary
text doesnt
correlate with the others.
Second Chance Reflection
If I was to do this project again I would take
James advice of adding a small message at the
end stating the paper and the brand. However I
would also make another radio advert in another
style so I could compare which would be most
affective. I would receive feedback for both
adverts in correlation with my other ancillary text
and main product to enable the best possible
outcome.
