How do you address/attract your audience? Ayan Fidar
Front cover Image: I have used a attractive female as a model to attract my audience. The image is a medium close up shot . I chose this shot because many people liked the models hair and were aspired to have the same look as her. The direct eye contact makes the image stand out and gives the magazine a sense of power. Masthead: the masthead is in a bright and an unusual color for masthead this attract my audience as its stands out and is eye catching. Also the masthead is in bold font with black drop shadow which makes the masthead look more interesting and different. Cover lines : I have attracted my audience by featuring cover lines that would catch their attention such as ‘ 2 free posters’. This would give them a sense of eager to buy this magazine. Colors: I have used colors that stand out to attract my audience. I Choose the colors from a research that I did on my target audience.
Content page Image: all the images are representing different personalities and style . Therefore these images attract my audience as they can aspire to different styles. Subheadings: my subheadings are set on a black background box this is to make the writing and also the magazine highlights stand out. Logo : I have used an image of the front cover as a logo on the content page. This attracts the my readers as its different from other magazines and makes this content page look more interesting and unique . Editors message: this is an extra piece which informs the readers what to expect from the magazine. The editors message gives a sense of feel that it’s a personal message to the reader, this is effective as it makes the magazine more attractive
Double page spread Image: the image will attract the audience because like the front cover the audience found the model attractive and liked her sense of style. Also the model is positioned in a form that is different from the rest of images on the content page . The direct eye contact again makes the image more power which attracts my audience. Headline: this headliner attracts the reader as its informal which makes it look more interesting and unique to the readers . Text: the text attract the audience as the article is the highlight of the magazine. Also this attracts the readers as it lets them learn more about the artist.
