• #4: Aam ul-Huzn means an year of grief. The 10th year of Prophethood was given this title because of the two main reasons. Hazrat Khadija (R.A) died. Holy Prophet (S.A.W) had a special attachement with her as she was a great support to him. Hazra Abu-Talib died. He was like a shield to Holy Prophet (S.A.W). It was because of him that the people of Quraish never dared to touch Holy Prophet (S.A.W)

• #9: After the hardships faced by Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) during the Boycott, he decided to travel to the town of Taif to preach Islam The two beloved friends of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) namely Hazrat Khadija (R.A) and Abdul Mutalib also left him which gave strength to the Kuffars and they disturbed Beloved Prphet (S.A.W) more valiantly.
• #11: The people of Taif worshipped an idol named La’at. Holy Prophet (S.A.W) went to the leaders of Taif amongst them three brothers named Abdiya Lail, Masud and Habeeb were most prominent Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) invited them to accept Islam and leave idol worshipping but found them arrogant and proud.
• #12: The three brothers insulted Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and abused him however Prophet (S.A.W) did not say anything to them. The nobles of Taif not only insulted the Prophet (S.A.W) but ordered the children, villains and despised people to throw stones on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and injure him. They threw so much stones and injured Holy Prophet (S.A.W) to an extent that his shoes were filled with blood. . Hazrat Zaid tried to protect him with his body and received severe injuries as well . Hadith: the most punishing day to me was the day I presented muself before the sons of Abdiyalil (at Taif)” [Bukhari] - Siratul Mustafa Vol 1 pg 308
• #13: Hazrat Zaid bin Sabith (R.A) was with Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and he took the Prophet (S.A.W) in a garden and requested the Prophet (S.A.W) to curse the people of Taif. On this Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) replied that he will not curse them because he hope that these people will repent and start to believe in the Oneness of ALLAH. Such was the akhlaq of our Holy Prophet (S.A.W)
• #14: Hazrat Zaid bin Sabith (R.A) was with Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and he took the Prophet (S.A.W) in a garden and requested the Prophet (S.A.W) to curse the people of Taif. On this Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) replied that he will not curse them because he hope that these people will repent and start to believe in the Oneness of ALLAH. • #21: Prophet (peace be upon him stayed at Nakhlah for few days on his return from Taif One night as he offered prayers, seven jinns passed by They listened to his recitation, believed in him and went back to their tribe and invited them to Islam. Prophet was unaware of all this until Surah Ahqaf verses 29-34 were revealed This event provided some comfort/consolation after suffering through the painful events of the last days.
