Just as bees pollinate
flowers, people work at
jobs, and students go to
school, words have a role
to play in
creating
sentences.
ELACC6L1
This 6th Grade performance standard states
that the student will demonstrate command
of the conventions of standard English
grammar and usage when writing or
speaking.
ELACC6L1
Standard Requirement A
Ensure that pronouns are in the proper case
(subjective, objective, possessive).
Click here to get more information about
using the correct pronoun case.
Pronoun Case
What does that mean?
Weve already learned
that a pronoun can
substitute for a noun.
Remember a noun is a
person, place, thing, or
idea.
Pronoun case tells us the
job that the pronoun is
doing in the sentence -
subject, object, or
possessive.
