Lonelygirl15 was an online video series from 2006-2008 that followed the fictional life of a teenager named Bree through vlogs posted on her YouTube channel. It grew to include other characters but was revealed to be fictional. To continue the story, a spin-off series called Kate Modern was created in 2007 that also involved fictional vlogs. A more recent fictional series called Kill Cam Live began in 2011 and involves university students participating in a social experiment that has resulted in characters being tortured and killed after disobeying rules.
