Experiment 2 - Phase DeterminationUsing The Lissajous Polar
Objective
This experiment is to learn on how to measure the phase angle between two signals in
oscilloscope by applying the theory of Lissajous polar by varying the frequency. Then the
measured signals has to be compared with the theoretically calculated using the following
formula,

Procedure
Construct the circuit shown in figure 2.

Compare the phase angle obtained from the Lissajous diagram with the one calculated
theoretically. Vary the frequency of the input signal to five different values. Record your
findings in Table 1.

(1) Explain in detail about the techniques of frequency and phase measurement using
oscilloscope.
(2) Discuss the results that obtained for both the Lissajous and theoretical values.
