Why are bananas a good crop to grow? Can you remember what a ‘cash crop’ is? How does Fairtrade help these farmers and their communities? Name three ways.
Questions-Round Three How has the Irish Government supported Fairtrade? Do you think they could they do anything else to supprt and promote Fairtrade? From what you have learned, what could you do to make your town a Fairtrade town? Can you name any two fairtrade products in your supermarket? When you are looking to buy Fairtrade products, what should you look out for? Will you buy them when you go shopping in future? Why/Why not? How could you highlight awareness of Fairtrade in your school? Give two ways. Then, say which way you think would be the most effective. How can you make your school a ‘Fairtrade school’?
