Families in the region are traditionally composed of parents, children, and grandparents who help care for children. While families once had many children, most now have one or two. Parents typically marry in their 20s or 30s in a church and divide household responsibilities, though sometimes only one parent, usually the father, works. Some families are single-parent due to relationship problems. Divorce is common and children usually live with their mother. Surnames follow the pattern of father's surname then mother's surname.

In the family the father works out and the mother does the housework. Today the two member of the pair work, thought in some cases only one, usually the father, works. (housewives and unemployed people)
Some families are single-parents, this is because there are problems between the parents. The number of divorced people in our area is very numerous and the children usually stay with their mother.
Surnames are organized in our area: first the father's surname and after the mother's surname. For example: -father: Jose G叩lvez Terr坦n -mother: M坦nica P辿rez Gonzalez -daughter: Daniela G叩lvez P辿rez
