ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering &
Technology (SLIET), Deemed to be
University, has been established and funded
by MoE, Government of India in 1991, to
provide technical education in emerging areas
of Engineering and Technology. The institute
caters to the technical manpower
requirements at various levels by adopting a
concept of a modular system in imparting
professional education with an emphasis on
practical training in the industry. The study
programs include various courses at
certificate, diploma, B.E. M.Tech. and Ph.D.
levels in different branches of engineering
and technology. The institute has a sprawling
area of 451 acres surrounded by lush green
land.

The department aims to provide quality
education to the youngsters so that they can
contribute to the development of the nation.

ABOUT THE FDP
This short-term training program in hybrid
mode is designed to provide an overview of
Technology for Agriculture. Modern
technologies and information tools can be used
to maximize agricultural productivity allowing
for the application of agrochemical products.
The focus of this STTP is the state of-the-art
agricultural technology highlighting
? Precision agriculture
? Drip irrigation
? Robot for Agriculture
? Organic farming
? Remote sensing
? Drone technology
? Green/poly houses
? Farm machinery
? IoT for agriculture.
PROSPECTIVE PARTICIPANTS
This STTP is open for participants from the
industry person, Faculty members from
AICTE-approved institutes, Research
Scholars, and Undergraduate and post-
graduate students. The number of
participants for the course is limited to fifty
(50) on a first-come, first-serve basis. The
Soft copy of study material and training
PPTs will be shared with all the participants.
MODE OF CONDUCTION
The training program will be conducted in
hybrid mode. Participants who will attend all the
lectures online will be issued e-certificates after
verification of their attendance.
REGISTRATION
The participants have to register for the online
STTP through Google Forms. The link for
