Accelerated Reader Overview The Accelerated Reader Program is a school wide reading incentive program that provides teachers and students with a fun and exciting way to promote reading practice. Students find a book on their reading level and then take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level. Students work towards different point goals according to their grade level and earn reading rewards given weekly during their ancillary time in the Media Center/Library.
