INTRODUCTION
 officially opened on 29 November 1996 by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir bin
Mohamad.
 aim - to promote greater understanding and interest in science and technology.
 strategies to raise awareness, understanding and appreciation towards science and
technology.
1. To provide the environment and facilities for the fun learning of science.
2. To provide interactive science exhibits.
3. To provide and organize interesting science programmed and activities.
4. To simplify the implementation of science and technology.
5. To publish science and technology literature.
6. To act as adviser on informal science learning
 Council of Scientific Research and Development (NCSRD) - objective of which is to create
awareness and understanding of science and technology among Malaysians.
WHY WE CHOOSE PSN?
 exhibition galleries - environmental odyssey, pathways to discovery,
future world and thinking machines.
 equipment :
 Integrated Management System (IBMS) and has a
 two-level exhibition gallery space
 multimedia library, a science lab, three workshops, two auditorium and a
multipurpose hall.
 ecological landscape, herb garden and children's playground.
 focused on the physical and biological sciences as well as exhibits
complement the gallery exhibition.
OBJECTIVES
 To increase the interest of students in science especially in biology
 To introduce the student with biology related occupation.
 To expose students with sciences branches.
 To increase the actual knowledge of the students in science
BENEFITS FROM THIS FIELD TRIP
To enhance the interest of students in science especially in biology.
 Biology seem very hard to students because biology concepts are particularly difficult to the
students. Yet, the students always rely on teachers to assess and teach them in learning
biology.
To introduce the students with biology related occupation.
 At Pusat Sains Negara, student can participate in the game named whodunit?. The game
require a student to enter the crime scene and become investigator for the murder cases.
So,student will get exposure about the forensic.
To increase the actual knowledge of the students in science.
 Not only Biology, Pusat Sains Negara also provided the information and content about physics
and chemistry.
