An individual fought for 20 years to seek justice for their child but was unable to find fairness. Patients began participating and eventually started winning landmark cases. Some Thai doctors opposed a draft of the Patient Protection Act. In 2013, patients demonstrated in front of the Government House and Parliament while medical professionals strongly protested. The individual shaved their head bald in protest of doctors and the cabinet. Prime Minister Abhisit promised to pass the draft bill but failed to keep his word, so patients demonstrated again. In 2014, he again promised to keep the draft bill active but it appeared hopeless with the limited time left in his cabinet. The family was blacklisted and received threats and harassment.
