This document is a final portfolio for a VSAR 402 class submitted by Janine Jorge. It includes summaries of weekly assignments where Janine learned basics of animation and effects in After Effects, including bouncing balls, animation paths, layering effects, and personalization. The most challenging assignment involved exploding particles from a tutorial. Overall, Janine gained experience in After Effects and was able to complete her final project, despite initially struggling without prior After Effects experience.
2. Jorge_J Week 2 Bouncing Ball
In week 2, we learned how to do the bouncing ball. Since I have never worked with after
effects, this project really taught me the basics on how to animate an object.
4. Jorge_J_Week 4 In Class
In week 4 we learned a lot of different effects and how to multiply layers and
animate them in different directions.
5. Jorge_J_Week 5 Personal Ident
This was one of my favorite assignments this semester. Although it was very
short and simple, it was fun to personalize the bumper to make it represent me
and my style.
6. Jorge_J_Week 11 Exploding Particles
This homework assignment was one of the more challenging assignments that we had
this semester. The most difficult thing was learning what certain actions do in after
effects while trying to follow the tutorial. I learned a lot from the tutorial and it helped
me with my final project.
7. Jorge_J_Week 12 In Class
In this assignment we learned how to use green screen footage. We were also able
to color correct the subject with the background and add effects like the snow.
9. I learned a lot of different aspects of After Effects this semester. Especially
for someone who has never worked in After Effects, I had a rough start with
my final project but I was glad everything pulled together. I am happy I took
this class for my film/video production minor.
