Final presentation
1. Over and Over Again A look into the importance of reading a work of literature a second, or even third time By Nikki Evensen
2. Seeing Things Different The first time a novel or a poem is read, its hard to not put personal opinions and preconceptions into the characters, and even the plot line. When the story is read again, its just a little easier to really let go, and see the story for what it is, not what a reader thinks it should be.
3. Now it all Makes Sense If there is any point in a piece of literature where a reader gets confused, even if the confusion is resolved by the end of the book, it helps to go over the story again. The reader can look for more reasons, and explanations in the problem, instead of loosing focus.
4. Pure Enjoyment Its possible that the first time a novel is read, its for the purpose of a college paper. Its one thing to read a story for analysis purposes, and another to read it for enjoyment. If a reader has already read a plot with intentions to pick it apart, its refreshing to read it again just for the enjoyment of a good story.
5. The First Time is Good but the second time around is always better! If youve really enjoyed a novel, read it again and again. It will only get better with time.
