Cuts and scrapes should be cleaned with soapy water, dried with a clean cloth, treated with antibiotic cream, and covered with a plaster. Bruises and sprains can be treated by placing an ice pack or thin towel on the injured area. For nosebleeds, pinch the nose below the bony part for ten minutes without leaning the head back. Children are advised to be careful when running or playing, not to push others, and wear sun protection and stay hydrated in hot weather to prevent and treat minor injuries.
