The Master of Music in Music Education of the European University Cyprus provides a
comprehensive specialization in the theory, latest research, developments and skills of Music
Education, and equips students with the theoretical, philosophical and creative background
to support and enhance their teaching in the general classroom and diverse educational and
cultural settings.
The Program:
n	Offers postgraduate specialisation in the area of Music Education and is part of a wider range
of related degrees in music offered by the Department of Arts of the European University
Cyprus: the Bachelor of Music, the Master of Music in Music Education (offered on site) and
the PhD in Music Education
n	Is supported by a great team of faculty with extensive teaching experience in distance
education, rich research activity and a variety of specializations such as music therapy,
general music education, neuroscience in music education and music technology.
The faculty is always providing strong academic guidance and support for student growth
n	Is linked through a close collaboration and exchanges to a wide range of professional
organizations, private and public schools and academic institutions, both at the national and
international level

General Admission Requirement
In the postgraduate Music Education program, applications are accepted by candidates with
a Bachelor in Music or Music Education or an equivalent title of study from a recognized
university. Additionally, applications can be received by Education Sciences graduates
(Primary Education and Early Childhood Education) or equivalent title of study, who have a
musical education background/experience, that can be supported through the submitted
portfolio (awards, distinctions, musical qualifications, other special skills, teaching experience,
certificates of attendance at conferences, seminars, concerts, sound and video recordings,
etc.). Such applicants may be required to attend, following the Evaluation Committees and
the Academic Advisors suggestion, basic courses in music or music education.

2. 	 An attested copy of a Bachelors degree from a recognized university
3. 	 An official copy of academic transcript
4. 	 Copy of high school leaving certificate
5. 	 One letter of recommendation
6. 	 Proof of English Proficiency
7. 	 Proof of work experience (if available)
8. 	 Recent CV
9. 	 One passport size photograph
10. 	Any other information, which can support the students application such as awards,
academic achievements and other qualifications
11.	 A brief report stating their educational and musical achievements
Success in personal interview
The selection Committee of the Master program conducts a personal interview with each
applicant.
