An architecture presentation was given by 6 students and their tutor. It defined an architect as someone who designs buildings and supervises construction. BEFORE CONSTRUCTION
Initial discussion with clients to understand the need and requirement Ar show them their port-folios Give opinion to client about the project Ar do their own Feasibility Study suitable materials used, setback, cost Sketches CONSULTATION
SKETCH DONE - Sketches done by architect to show client about the conceptual idea
PRELIMINARY IDEA Feasibility Study Sketching Might be changed according to clients need Do a Schematic Design to show how the construction looks like shows Preliminary Designs to clients
PLANNING PHASE Option on design for client to choose All in diagram, graphic and sketches, not an architectural drawing yet Responsible to make any changes before finalise it
Architect changes sketches into schematic & architectural drawing Consult Structural Engineer and QS for more information share schematic drawing with other professions - After collected all data from other consultants, a detail drawing should be drawn. - The data should include relevant details, code information, placement of object, light intensity, etc. - Compilation- Send the Submission Drawing DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

CONSTRUCTION Execution Phase
CONSTRUCTION DRAWING (CD) 1. Architects have to make sure the codes used in CD meets state, city and local code in construction. 2. As a reference to begin construction. 3. This might be the final drawing if theres no changes of the design or structure of building.
CONSTRUCTION EXECUTION PHASE Provide administration of contract for construction Monitor the progress on site regular intervals make sure construction of the building runs smoothly -review shop drawings, product data and samples for general conformance to the design intent. Report the Owner about the progress of the work - provide supplemental documents to clarify design intent for the contractor. Review then accept or reject the contractor's application payment. Inspect the work Interpret and dedicate the matters if there are any changes
AFTER CONSTRUCTION
HAND-OVER HAND-OVER 1.Architects stop working on the site. 2.Transfer every resources to other organisation. 3.Even though the job is terminated, operation and maintenance should be carried out frequently. 4.Contractor will then produce an As-Built Drawing for the built construction.

The Differences between Architect & Landscape Architect and Interior Architect Landscape Architect Interior Architect -Designs and arranges land forms and develops outdoor spaces. -Design things such as residential area, public parks, playground, garden, college campuses. -create decorative layouts plans. -Specialise in designing & building interiors for safety, functionality and aesthetic.
