44. ¡°I have been in the hospital quite a bit in my life and
with the pain I was in before combined with the new
problems and pain it is hard to stay positive. In a room
?lled with tubes, electronic equipment and all the
testing it is very easy to become depressed. Other
problems in hospital are boredom and loneliness.
After gaining the strength to get around myself I started
to visit the Dr. Inazo Nitobe garden. I have been to the
other spots available around the hospital, but I am
drawn to the garden. I sit there as long as I am allowed.
First week about 1 to 2 hours a day, then 2 to 5 hours
every day¡±.
