This document provides instructions for setting up PPPoE and network connectivity on a FON WiFi router. It explains that many internet service providers use PPPoE for dial-up connections and this requires entering login credentials in the router. The steps are to open the router management console by entering an IP address in the browser, select the PPPoE option, enter the ISP username and password, and then restart the router to establish an internet connection.
2. FON Community Problem: Many Internet Service Provider provide you with a special „dial-up software“ you have to run in order to connect to the Internet. Evidence: There is no FON_AP signal and the „Internet“ LED does not light up. Explanation: You need PPPoE if your router cannot dial-up to the Internet automatically. You have to set your ISP login data in the FON router. The dial-up software is not necessary anymore. So PPPoE is the dial-up protocol to connect to the Internet. You can find your personal login data in a letter from your ISP or on its website.
