Medications delivered to the group home are signed for upon arrival and inventoried against the delivery sheet. All received medications are documented with date, time, dosage, quantity, and staff signature and stored in the designated medication box. Empty medication containers are returned and new prescriptions are added to the Medication Administration Record according to the physician's orders as documented in the medical binder and communication log. Controlled medications are also logged separately.
