The document discusses National Preparedness Month (NPM), an Army event held in September to promote preparedness for all-hazards events. It aims to educate the Army community on preparedness activities to increase resilience. Key points include the Ready Army program's tenets of being informed of hazards, making a family emergency plan, building a 72-hour survival kit, and getting involved in preparedness efforts through activities in September and online pledging. The overall goal is to strengthen the Army and nation's ability to handle any emergency through planning and preparation.
