The film Fracture follows a structural engineer (Anthony Hopkins) who is found innocent of attempting to murder his wife (Embeth Davidtz). A young district attorney (Ryan Gosling) prosecuting the case becomes obsessed with achieving justice. During the legal proceedings, twists and turns emerge as the engineer and district attorney try to outwit one another in and out of the courtroom. The thriller also stars David Strathairn and Rosamund Pike and is directed by Gregory Hoblit.
