Frances Hesselbein is an American leader and writer known for her inspirational leadership. She served as CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA from 1976 to 1990, tripling minority membership. In 1998 she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her contributions to volunteerism, diversity, and opportunity. The Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management was renamed the Frances Hesselbein Leadership Institute in her honor in 2012. Throughout her career, she has advocated for inclusive leadership and empowering others.
