Students will learn about the climate of the Amazon rainforest through a variety of multimedia activities. They will listen to a podcast, complete a WebQuest for information gathering, use QR codes to access climate data, create YouTube videos in groups of 3 to teach others about the climate, and visit the Amazon virtually using SecondLife. Students will be evaluated on their contributions to the video project, the accuracy of information in the video, and completion of the WebQuest. The teacher will assess the effectiveness of the different media used to support student learning.
