Hu Sixue came to Singapore in August 2014 from China to study at Shelton College International. In July 2015, she took the International GCSE Exam, which helped her gain entrance to the Australia National University Foundation course. She had never heard of the International GCSE exam before coming to Singapore. With the help of patient teachers and their excellent teaching skills, she achieved good results on the exam. The International GCSE exam is easier than the GCE O-Level exam and provides more pathways to overseas higher education. She used her International GCSE results to apply for and receive an offer from the Australia National University foundation course.
