We offer both versions of ALTRAGRIPS-LITE to our crews. Both are lightweight and
extremely easy to use. The High Profile is issued to those who need more traction for
extensive outdoor walking. The Low Profile is perfect for those who are exposed to ice
and snow, but also operate vehicles or walk back and forth indoors and out throughout
the day. The ALTRAGRIPS-LITE has been a unique addition to our safety program.
LOW PROFILE STUD [MODEL JD3615]: The low profile stud protrudes
only minimally (approximately 1mm) from the sole of ALTRAGRIPS-LITE.
This enables the device to increase traction in outdoor walking conditions
while remaining safer to wear indoors and in normal conditions than
most studded and spiked footwear.
HIGH PROFILE STUD [MODEL JD36159]: The high profile stud is
more pronounced and exposed (protruding approximately 3mm)
from the sole of ALTRAGRIPS-LITE. This enables a more aggressive
level of traction. The high profile stud is not recommended for indoor
or normal walking conditions.
ALTRAGRIPS-LITE All-Traction Footwear fits over the shoe and is designed to increase
traction in a variety of outdoor slippery conditions. The sole of ALTRAGRIPS-LITE features
16 steel encased tungsten carbide studs that are available in two different heights,
offering a choice of increased traction or increased versatility.
