4. CH.1:INTRODUCTION
Ministry of Public Works and Transport
Somaliland, Ministry of Public works, Land and Housing is
responsible for public works, land affairs and housing projects.
Background of the project
The Ministry accomplishes its various functions with due regard
for Governments policies and strategic directions. The Ministry
recognized that infrastructure and housing are fundamental to
development and the achievement of the social goals of
Government.
5. Main Objective
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing is one of the Government institutions responsible for undertaking
infrastructure projects. The Ministry is mandated to undertake the plan, design and construction of
government buildings, infrastructure,
such as national roads and bridges, flood control, water resources projects and other public works; and to
promote standards in the construction and housing industries.
To respond to emerging challenges and to ensure quality service delivery to the public, the Ministry
subscribes to the following core values:

possible entrants necessary for the planning, implementing and monitoring Stages of the proposed
project under consideration. The possible entrants are:
Preliminary investigation (project appraisal costs)
Design and supervision (consultancy cost)
Construction works (contractors cost)
Land owning cost, and
Monitoring costs

yuusuf ( owner of building ) and Cabdikariin
saleebaan haariye( owner of aflax construction co. )
CH.8:CONTRACT AND CONTRACT AGREEMENT
56. Procurement Reference This agreement made Saturday of 1 august
2024 between Abdikariin saleebaan haariye of Burao Somaliland of
the one part, and xamse abdi yuusuf of Burao Somaliland of the
other part: Whereas the Employer is desirous that the Contractor
execute Large ministry of public work building and the Employer has
accepted the Bid by the Contractor for the execution and completion
of such Works and the remedying of any defects therein for the
Contract Price of the equivalent of $ $350,807.53 US Dollar
CONTRACT AGREEMENT
57. CONCLUSION
Our project is ministry of public work Building. The total of the
building is 96mx40m.
All details that are needed in our building are clarified in our
drawings. Views both 2D and 3D are also mentioned. All analysis and
design in our project is done by hand calculation. Frames of our
building such as beam, column, slab, foundation and staircase are
designed and checked for their safety and finally our structure is safe.
The bill of quantity of our structure is done by using the Somaliland
local unit price.
