This lesson plan is for a primary music class where students will review finger names and numbers through singing songs. They will also learn to identify down and up stems to determine right versus left hand use. The main activity will be for students to play the song "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" individually, in groups, and as a class while being accompanied by the teacher on piano. The learning outcomes are for students to review finger identification, stem direction, appropriate hand use, and learn to play the featured song.
