Why did the men go to war??? Men went to war to defend a country, for adventure or they went because there mates went!

Gallipoli is important because men went to war there to help defend countries. Why is Gallipoli important???
Poppies are important because re-searchers found that poppies were growing where the Gallipoli war happened and we use a poppy to show that we will remember those who died in the war!!! Why are poppies important???
