Gas cutting and welding involve heating metals with a fuel gas and oxygen to either part metallic objects through melting or join similar or dissimilar metals by heating and fusing them together with a molten filler rod. Safety is ensured through the proper equipment, which includes oxygen and acetylene cylinders, a gas cylinder cart, pressure regulators, non-return valves, pressure gauges, and color-coded rubber hoses to convey the different gases separately to the blow pipe.
2. GAS CUTTING IS THE PROCESS OF
PARTING METALLIC OBJECT BY
BURNING/MELTING IT, WHILE IN GAS
WELDING PROCESS, TWO SIMILAR OR
DISSIMILAR METALLIC OBJECTS ARE
JOINED BY HEATING AND JOINING
TOGETHER BY A MOLTEN FILLER
ROD.
3. FOR GAS CUTTING / WELDING,
HEATING IS DONE BY BURNING FUEL
GAS AND OXYGEN, WITH THE OXY-
ACETYLENE BLOW PIPE.
