The Georgia Building Authority is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee facility maintenance for 36 state government buildings. Responsibilities include managing a maintenance team, developing procedures, and performing tasks related to building design, renovation, repair and maintenance. Candidates must have an associate's degree in a relevant field plus eight years of experience, including four years in a supervisory role. Duties require knowledge of all aspects of physical plant operations and maintenance.

The Georgia Building Authority (GBA) is responsible for all services associated with the management of 36 buildings and various facilities located in the Capitol Hill
Complex in Atlanta, Georgia, including the Georgia State Capitol building and the Governor's Mansion in northeast Atlanta. GBA provides maintenance, renovations,
housekeeping, landscaping, food service, event catering, recycling, parking, and building access services to state employees housed in GBA-managed facilities.

The Georgia Building Authority (GBA) is responsible for all services associated with the management of 36 buildings and various facilities located in the Capitol Hill Complex in Atlanta, Georgia, including the Georgia State Capitol building and the Governor's Mansion in northeast Atlanta. GBA provides maintenance, renovations, housekeeping, landscaping, food service, event catering, recycling, parking, and building access services to state employees housed in GBA-managed facilities. Job Information Position Overview Job Type: Full Time Duties: Under limited supervision, assists in managing a facilities Number of Vacancies: 1 maintenance team and/or facility operations program, developing Pay Grade: SWD 19 internal procedures, applying sound principles used throughout the building and maintenance trades and performing tasks related to the Salary: $52,175.55 - $75,000.00 design, renovation, repair and maintenance of GBA owned/leased Location: Atlanta, GA facilities. Maintains 24-hour emergency on-call availability. Opens: March 22, 2012 Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree from an accredited Closes: May 2, 2012 college or technical school and eight (8) years of experience in (Must be received by 5 p.m.) facilities maintenance and/or operations.
