This document describes DBVu, a centralized database monitoring system that allows users to remotely monitor MySQL databases. It offers both free and paid licensing tiers. - #4: It works by DBVu polling a simple an open source script on the customers public facing web server, which then establishes a secure SSL connection back to DBVu and pulls over all the required configuration data, connects to the internal databases and sends an XML file back to DBVu.The client requires zero maintenance and is very resource efficient.

- #9: DBVu has adopted the freemium model, whereby every customer gets 30 days of full service and then if they dont pay they get reduced polling and less drill-down info.There will also be a consultancy referral system so that if a customer needs help, then they are able to contact a consultancy through the site and grant them read-only access to their data.DBVu is also targeting hosting companies and who can bundle or resell the service to their MySQL hosted customers.
