The Girls Education Mission (GEM) scholarship program was started in 2009 to provide support for bright girls in Kenya who were abandoned or unable to afford schooling. The program is sponsored by Meds for Africa and its partners, and provides funding for tuition, books, and uniforms for students who maintain a B+ average. The document includes profiles for 17 students currently enrolled in the program, describing their ages, grades, and aspirations. It expresses thanks to the founders and sponsors who make the program possible.
