2. Tournament Rules and
Regulations
O The GDRS is to follow the Clean Racing Guidelines, in
particular:
O You must drive responsibly, in a way that will not ruin the enjoyment
of others.
O Behind drivers are expected to anticipate that the ahead driver may
have longer braking distance and should compensate for that possibility.
O The behind driver has the responsibility not to run into the ahead
driver. The ahead driver does not have to try to avoid you.
O Malicious and/or inappropriate braking or slowing is strictly prohibited.
O Any driver rejoining the track after a spin/crash/off must not contact
any on coming drivers as the on coming driver has the right of way.
*Breach of the above rules will result in the following lap to be labeled dirty
during time attack; during circuit racing, if more than two offenses are
made during the race the driver will be disqualified. If any breaches are
performed purposely, the driver will be disqualified on the first offense.
3. Tournament Description
O The GDRS may only be raced with domestically manufactured German
automobiles and will be raced on international, as well as domestic tracks.
O The GDRS is divided into ten separate events, with each event containing four
races.
O Two races from each event are designated as time attack, while two are to be
circuit races.
O Event classes range from C-425 to R2-875 varying from event to event.
O Rules and Regulations must be followed at all times.
O The GDRS will only run with the attendance of the entire club. The
tournament may only be run without a club member if that member chooses
to opt out.
O The GDRS includes the following manufacturers:
O Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Bugatti, Gumpert, Audi, RUF, and
Volkswagen.
O The GDRS will run once a week, usually before the enduro race (normally
Friday). The tournament may run on a different day if need be.
