Grove Free Evangelical Church ‘Building a community of people who live out God’s purposes’ Sunday 5th January 2014 Andy Hooker leads our morning service and Pastor Paul John brings a New Year message, ‘Keep on keeping on’ (Heb 10:19-25). Children are invited to leave for their own activities after approx. 30 minutes. Please stay and join with us for refreshments after this service. There is a Church Members’ meeting on Wednesday 22nd January, 8pm at Old Mill Hall. There is a Building Vision Prayer Breakfast on Saturday 25th January, 8:30am at Old Mill Hall. Please come and join with us in praying for the future of GFEC and enjoy a coffee and a croissant (£2.00 donation appreciated). Our next collection of items for donation to the Wantage and Grove Foodbank will be Sunday 26th January. Please see the list at the back of the church for suitable items for donation. The Homelessness Sunday 2014 appeal is supporting the Oxford Gatehouse, a church run Drop In centre for homeless people in Oxford. They request donations of ‘Soaps or Sweaters, Flannels or Fleeces’ i.e. good quality warm clothing and/or toiletries (especially for men). Keep those unwanted pressies and donate them to a good cause. We will collect them in church on Homelessness Sunday, 26th January 2014. Next Sunday 10:30 am: Julie John leads. Commencing a new teaching series entitled ‘Getting to know God better’, Pastor Paul John speaks on ‘Who is this God?’ (Acts 17:16-34). Sunday Club and Youth Group meet. 4:00 pm: All-age service at The Mission, East Challow led by Barbie Margetts. Commencing a new teaching series entitled ‘Christianity Today - - Learning from the Life of Daniel’, Andy Hooker speaks on ‘Food for thought!’ (Daniel Chapter 1).
