They are both refugees fleeing conflict in Syria. Rana goes to school. However, this courtyard is the world for Jenna and her other siblings, still within earshot of the shelling that goes on across the border in her native Syria. More than half of Syrian refugee children in Jordan are not at school. However, with UNHCR’s education programmes, we are able to establish new schools, provide more resources for existing schools, better train teachers and provide school uniforms. All to give vital education to children like Jenna. Education is a human right so please help children in Jordan make this right into a reality. We are grateful to Giffords Circus for dedicating this programme to refugees from Syria, specifically the children of Syria, and for supporting our work.
