Globalization can have both positive and negative effects. Positively, it increases employment opportunities, the flow of information, and access to goods and services while decreasing prices. However, it also poses cultural, economic, and environmental risks. Globally, a small percentage of people consume most of the world's resources while globalization can threaten smaller local businesses and cultural diversity through the spread of majority languages and practices. It has also contributed to environmental issues like pollution and resource depletion.
