2. INTRODUCTION
Gold Fields as a property has been carefully planned and developed
over the last six years to create one of Australias premier equine
centres and one of the leading performance horse studs in Australia
operating as Equine Sports Breeding (ESB).
Future developments will result in a world-class centre for
entertainment, accommodation, education and events. Plans for
outdoor concerts, food & wine Festivals and other sporting events are
currently being developed.
THE LOCATION
Gold Fields is ideally situated in the very centre of Victoria, just an
hour and a quarter from Tullamarine Airport and only twenty minutes
from Bendigo, which has ample accommodation, restaurants and
attractions for the non-horsey members of the family.
Only six kilometres from the nearest town, railway and major highway.
Centrally located in a huge tourism and wine growing region.
The mild climate and soil types are well suited to holding a winter
event.
THE PROPERTY
Is 301 acres of attractive country nestled in its own hidden valley with
abundant gum trees for shade and shelter and ample room for any
event.
It borders thousands of acres of State Forrest, attracting a large variety
and number of native birds and wildlife.
There is good road access available from N, S, E and W

5. THE FACILITIES
The Gold Fields Stadium
Carefully designed to blend into the natural bush setting, this
amazing landform has been man made from 45,000 cubic
metres of rock and sculptured into three large grassed banks
for seating and one for a stage, to host the following events:
Concerts, Open air cinema, Food & wine or feature festivals,
Rodeos, Theatre restaurant & functions, Sporting events,
especially equestrian, Film sets, Displays & exhibitions,
Dance fests and others.
STAGE ONE
Capacity to seat approximately 10,000 people
Main arena is approx 100m x 75m laser level, drained and covered with a sand surface.

6. The Arenas

7. The Stadium (100m x 75m) can provide for three Olympic size sand areas; the warm up arena (70m x 40m) and the training arena (60m x 60m)
They are all sand but can be converted with a suitable cover. There is plenty of flat, level grassed areas in addition to these.

8. Float Parking
There is ample space for float and truck parking with two major access roads
and solid ground surfaces.
Stabling & yards
Twenty stables are available for use in the house area.
17 yards with post and rail fencing are already constructed.
A number of paddocks will also be made available to competitors.
Additional portable stables and yards can also be acquired.
Amenities
Modern portables are more than adequate to provide sufficient toilet and shower
facilities (including disabled access).
There is sufficient space and access for these.
Water
There is ample water in the dams. Rain water can be supplied into tank storage or
water tankers.
Sponsors area
The north bank is an ideal location for sponsors,
providing first class viewing of the main arena.
Shaded VIP parking is available directly behind the bank,
reducing the walking distance for sponsors.
The Cross Country Course
Ewen Kellett has already built the Grade 1 & 2 tracks. The course is a wonderful blend
of bush and open areas. The course is designed to be media and spectator friendly
with the majority of the course viewable from one area including provision for
disabled people.
The entire course is both exciting and new. Many of the jumps are portable and so
the course can be built to maximum dimensions with appropriate lengths for both
Grade 1 and 2 and be in line with any requirements of the Technical Delegate for your 8
event.
9. Catering
In addition to the above, a variety of food vans can be available during the
event for competitors and spectators. There are plenty of local providers
who are equipped to handle an event of this size. There are also ample
supermarkets, restaurants and cafes in Bendigo which is only 20kms away.
VIP Dining
A marquee can be erected for VIP dining during the event.
Catering and seating arrangements can be made available for judges,
sponsors, stewards and delegates of the event.
Electricity
Generators are adequate to cater for any required lighting, power and
operational needs of the event
Additional help with event experience
Venue host, Vanessa Hawkins also has event experience and was Event
director of EQUITANA Asia Pacific in 1999 and Horsesn Bendigo in 1997.
Vanessa also designed and built the Glenormiston College cross-country
course and organised the opening with Bill Roycroft of this facility in
conjunction with a college challenge with Marcus Oldham in 1987.
Other
A playground area for the younger members of the family can be made
available.
A bus service into Bendigo can be arranged.
The trade village area of 100m x 75m can be developed to increase the
activities and interest areas of the event.

11. The Bush Courtyard
This facility is multi functional and can accommodate 18 people in three separate buildings, two of which are
self contained. It has a classroom with a large whiteboard, a large outdoor cooking and social area as well as an
outdoor garden area.
The buildings overlook a 60 x 60m sand arena and are in close proximity to the stables, day yards and round
yard. There is also plenty of room for camping and fantastic riding through the bush or down to the river.
