Manolis, a mischievous kindergarten student, hides in a hollow and meets a goblin. The goblin explains that he and the other goblins live in the center of the earth and climb trees every Christmas Eve to play pranks on people. However, fewer people now believe in goblins, putting their existence at risk. Manolis warns the goblins in their village, and they go to the surface to cause enough mischief that people's belief in goblins is restored. From then on, the goblins' traditions continue as before.
