- 4. 目的 ? 這一項目開發用於增強現實的頭戴式顯示器研發 的產品 ? Google Glass的預期目的，是希望用眼鏡取代智能 手機的螢幕，並且允許使用自然語言來與網際網 路交互。Google Glass所使用的作業系統將是 Android。
- 5. 設計及原理 Google Glass 最重要的功能在於，透過一 個裝配半透明稜鏡的微型投影器，將圖像 直接投射在配戴者視網膜上。 眼鏡本身體積最大的零件是電池，作在 右邊鏡腳處，估計這些設備日後都會縮小 體積，右眼視覺通過的地方設有稜鏡和投 影器，右前方有攝影鏡頭，後方為麥克風 ，靠近耳朵處則設有喇叭，右鏡腳上白色部份係 CPU。 眼鏡本身的影像明亮清晰，且因為畫面為半透明，甚至也可以就這樣戴著不拿下來。 Google 還在繼續研究要為本來就戴眼鏡的近視人士帶來一樣的服務，。
- 6. 相關專利 ? Google日前申請了一項專利，專利描述的是一種和 Project Glass 有關 的控制技術。用戶可以透過安裝在眼鏡上的雷射投影機將虛擬的 QWERTY 鍵盤和其它按鍵投影到自己的手臂或手掌上（或其它各類平 面），接著系統依靠內建的相機和處理器就能「解讀」出用戶手指運 動所代表的指令，這樣一來便能實現操控的目的
- 7. 趨勢 ? 目前所曝光版本還只是維持在原型機階段，根據Google員 工表示，目前無論在外觀設計或功能操作都有可能再面臨 變動，或許日後實際推出時將會以不同風貌出現，而目前 Google Glass也尚未經由FCC認證，因此距離實際上市仍有 一定時間距離。 ? Google已經針對Google Glass申請相關專利 ? Collective Glass是Google Ventures、KPCB及Andreessen Horowitz的合作專案，這三家風投會聯合起來共同尋找並 支援基於Google Glass的軟硬體專案。
