Finding a specific car online can be a time-consuming task, especially when checking multiple dealer websites. A few years ago, I faced this exact problem while searching for a particular vehicle in New Zealand. The local classified platform, Trade Me (similar to eBay), wasnt yielding any results, so I expanded my search to second-hand dealer sitesonly to realise that periodically checking each one was going to be tedious. Thats when I noticed something interesting: many of these websites used the same platform to manage their inventories. Recognising this, I reverse-engineered the platforms structure and built an FME workspace that automated the search process for me. By integrating API calls and setting up periodic checks, I received real-time email alerts when matching cars were listed. In this presentation, Ill walk through how I used FME to save hours of manual searching by creating a custom car-finding automation system. - 3. As a merchant, having as many payment options as possible is one of the best things you can do to grow your business. One of the newest pieces of technology to his the market is the NFC powered Google Wallet application, which allows people to store their credit card information on their smartphone.
- 4. For PaymentMax merchants, any sales that are made using the new Google Wallet payment method will be transferred to your bank account within one business day. This is often faster than traditional payment methods that can take up to three business days to transfer.
- 5. The best part of Google Wallet is that it's safe and secure for customers, as many are wary about giving their credit or debit card information out, and it's safer for you since the funds are guaranteed to be available and will be transferred within one business day.
- 6. As NFC technology catches on and is integrated into more smartphones, using a smartphone to make purchases will become the default way of keeping our credit information secure no matter where in the world we make our purchases.
- 7. Right now Google Wallet is only available on the Google Nexus S and the upcoming Galaxy Nexus scheduled to be released in November. However, phones are beginning to ship with NFC technology as the default standard, at which time the Google Wallet app will be made available to everyone who purchases an NFC-enabled phone by downloading it from the Android marketplace. There is no word on whether or not the iPhone or Apple will support NFC technology in the near future, as the iPhone 4S does not.
