Assisted 1,115 Locally Stranded Antique単os from Manila to return home during lockdown and
245 stranded tourists back to Manila.
Regularization and professionalization of APTO staff and personnel given that we recognize the
role of tourism in the economy. APTO is no longer just a vanity department but a series
economic income driver.
103. MARINE BIODIVERSITY
DOCUMENTATION PROJECT (MBDP)
this intends to provide a detailed documentation of the different marine species and
ecosystems of Antique and to promote marine tourism worldwide using the media and
other platforms. An international Television premiere highlighting Antiques scenic marine
treasure is already on the way.
123. ANTIQUE HOSTEL
ANTIQUE HOSTEL as the New Local Economic Enterprise of Antique
For the past months, PEEDO has been working on the rebranding of the
Binirayan Guest House as Antique Hostel, the new local economic enterprise
of the Province. This is in line with the corporate powers of the LGU as
embodied in the Local Government Code to boost local income at the same
time offer quality service to the general public.
129. SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR THE EMPLOYMENT
OF STUDENTS
Under this program, the Provincial Government in partnership with DOLE
through our PESO from 2017 to 2020 was able to assist 490 poor but
deserving students.

158. Implemented a total of fourteen (14) Road Projects covering a total of
35.66105 kilometers or about 18.5% of the total 192.922 kms provincial
road inventory of the province as per record of the Provincial Engineers
Office.
These involved Concreting of provincial roads, repair/improvement and
rehabilitation in the municipalities of Patnongon, Sibalom, Pandan, Tobias
Fornier, Libertad, San Jose, Hamtic and Anini-y. Total fund released to
the provincial government of Antique registered to Php1,415,246,674.00.
167. THE NOVEL THREAT
January 20, 2020 - the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the
corona virus outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International
Concern
March 11, 2020 - Characterized as pandemic
189. In line with the commitment to good governance of the
present administration, the Internal Audit Services (IAS) Unit
under the Office of the Governor was created thru Provincial
Ordinance No 2021-249 approved by the Sanggunian
Panlalawigan on January 21, 2021.
195. The five percent Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (NDRRMF) or the Calamity Fund is mandated
appropriation under RA 10121 for all local government units to fund disaster risk reduction and management
projects/activities focused on prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery and rehabilitation.
198. The PDRRMO/C had garnered various awards for its outstanding
performance and achievements that contributed to the realization of
DRRM/CCA goals and objectives likewise established a culture of
safety among Antiqueos:
200. The SP New Legislative Building was completed on
September 30, 2020 during the 2019-2022 term of
Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Antique. The total budget
for this Building was Php82,713,682.
213. Our province had been implementing the educational assistance/scholarship program since 2016
to date. This Provincial Educational Assistance comprises 3 categories such as educational
assistance for College students, Certificate of Teaching and Graduate School Students.
219. During my first term as your Governor, our province bidded to host the 2017 Palarong Pambansa.
I thought it was just simple to host this national event and I felt like to backout, however, since I
can see the enthusiasm, support and commitment of our elected officials from the Sangguniang
Panlalawigan, down to the Mayors and different government agencies, so no more back out so
we accepted the challenge. Actually, on the same year, February 5-10, 2017 we hosted the
Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet.
222. The Antique Airport is classified as Principal Class 2 airport and serve as a
vital link and gateway for Antique単os between Manila and the province.
With the present physical and operational constraints of the existing airport
and its limited capability to support the air traffic demand necessitate the
need for the expansion and upgrade the airport facilities in compliance with
international standard.
230. In 2018 to 2019, the DOTr - has downloaded Php205.0Million for the
improvement/rehabilitation of the eleven (11) Tourism Ports located in Libertad,
Caluya, 3 in Culasi, 3 in Anini-y, Barbaza, Hamtic and Pandan. Construction are
on-going under the supervision of the Provincial Engineers Office.
