                                 Government Challenge

The name of the government is The Caregivers. Our civilization, called Utopia, is

on an island and the people who live in it are called Utopians. The government base lies

on a mountain ridge overlooking the entire city. The fortress will be impossible to reach

on foot due to the rough terrain and the amount of time it would take to reach it. The base

is surrounded by two walls that are separated by a mine field which sense motion and

explode on contact making it impossible to cross. There will be tripwires around the

mountain that will activate an alarm warning officials of trespassers. There will also be

soldiers on the wall ready to shoot anyone who trespasses. The base will be surrounded

by a lethal electric fence which will kill a person on contact. People will not be allowed

on the mountain. The only people allowed on the base are government officials. If any

citizen attempts to climb the mountain they will be shot without question. The

government uses Sonic and Ultrasonic weapons. The most powerful weapon used is the

Long Range Sonic Device. The sonic wave can pass directly through buildings, houses,

concrete walls and any other common building materials. This causes permanent damage

to hearing and causes intense headaches to all people who are hit by the sonic wave. Only

government is allowed to have weapons. Energy will be obtained from solar panels,

which are installed on all homes, and windmills. The government base will be self-

sustained.

The government will provide all food, clothes and shelter for its people. People

will not have cars, but instead will use public transportation such as metros and buses that

go everywhere except the government mountain. People will not have to worry about

money since the government supplies mostly everything for the people. People will earn

a monthly income of $100 if married and will earn $50 if they are single. Money will not

be distributed in cash or checks but will be placed in debit cards, which will allow the

government to track the purchases of the people. Everything that can be bought will be

affordable and mostly below the yearly income. They will have a debit card which will be

used for public transportation and making phone calls. Key cards will be used to enter

and leave their homes. There will be a security system in homes to protect people from

robbery and to prevent them from leaving after curfew. The government will be able to

track when and where a key card is used. Each household will have one key and debit

card per adult and child.

Children attending school will be taught from a young age to see the government

in a good way. This will ensure that kids will grow up loving the government, and

perhaps even love it more than their parents. The kids will learn and grow up thinking

there is no better place in the world than Utopia. The government will supply things for

kids that parents cannot afford, and will take them on many field trips. In some cases the

kids may turn in their parents to the authorities if they see them not cooperating with the

government or conspiring against them.

The government will control all communication on the island. There will be no

books, newspapers, or magazines allowed except those written by the government. There

will be everyday broadcast on television by the government that will let people know

about safety and what is going on around the world. However the government will

control all information reported by the media. There will be pictures of war, disease, and

poverty to show people how dreadful life is outside of Utopia. People will not be able to

communicate with the outside world. The only kinds of communication will be home

landlines and public payphones that will be placed on every 2 blocks. These phones will

only be able to make calls within the island. This will help the government see and hear

who is calling and where they are calling. There will be no negative comments allowed

about the government. There will also be no group gatherings allowed except those done

by the government themselves.

We will have cameras and surveillance on every street and home to keep the city

safe. There will be undercover government agents living as common citizens who report

to base. There will be hidden listening and recording bugs in homes. Anyone who

attempts to break the law will be condemned to a public execution by lethal injection that

will be televised. However, that person must first sign and make a recorded public

confession for everyone to hear.

Humans will have a microchip also known as RFID installed behind the neck that

will allow the government to track everyone on the island. RFID tags are miniscule

microchips, which are half the size of a grain of sand. All RFID tags have no batteries.

They use the power from the initial radio signal to transmit their response. They listen for

a radio query and respond by transmitting their unique ID code to the government. These

will also be placed on each key card and in the clothes of people. If anyone attempts to

remove the chip they will be accused of treason and condemned to death. The citizens

must follow a curfew which allows them to be out from 7am to 7pm for security reasons.

Anyone out after this time will be arrested for suspicion and will be put under strict

surveillance by government officials.
