Nightingale Informatix - Digital Marketing Specialist - October 2013 to November 2014
www.nightingalemd.com
Built and maintained multiple Drupal 7 web sites and performed as an integral member of
the Digital Marketing team
Nightingale was an Electronic Health Records provider in the process of introducing an
advanced, innovative cloud-based product for medical practitioners and care facilities.
This was a major overhaul of the business and required a complete re-brand involving all
branding initiatives and material with the website at its hub. I built a completely new
Drupal 7 website (U.S. and Canadian version) from the ground up.
I was completely responsible for building the new Drupal web site and was solely
responsible for its maintenance, and development. I collaborated on content
management, CRM and CRO. I researched, chose and configured the theme and all
modules. The design is highly customized, full-width and responsive which presented many
interesting theming challenges.
In addition to the main sites, I built and maintained a major event microsite and a
separate blogging environment.
Although the website was my first priority, I was a fully contributing member of the
Marketing team and my role as Digital Marketing Specialist required involvement in all
marketing decisions and initiatives including social media tactics and strategies, SEO, lead
generation, personae identification, email marketing, UX and UI development. I was also
responsible for print collateral.
3. Key aspects of position:
Built, maintained and administered Multisite (separate US and Canadian versions from
scratch) and microsites
Hand-coded, fully responsive design
Clean, standards-compliant code using CSS3 and HTML
SEO optimized
Planned, created and distributed html email bulletins, updates and announcements to
nurture Marketing Qualified Leads for the sales team
Contributed to forming social policy, initiatives and integrating third party social channels
with website
Consulted with and advised all stakeholders
Royal Ontario Museum - December 2012 to August 2013
Contracted with the Royal Ontario Museum to deal with a new Drupal 7
installation and provide general web and digital marketing duties
In this role I was deeply involved with every aspect of a complex Drupal 7 web site.
Created complex Views involving Entities, Relationships, Contextual Filters, Taxonomies,
Content types
Researched vetted, installed and configured Modules.
Create Custom Templates and Pre-process Functions, Created Taxonomies and Field Sets
Liaised with and serviced a wide variety of stakeholders.
Worked on non-Drupal aspects of digital communication e.g. web graphics, html emails,
newsletters
I acted as creative and technical lead in a project to create a mobile-first, one-content
online tour of the museum inside the main site (no microsite or device-detected redirect)
that was designed to mimic an app and display properly on all devices.
I was engaged in improving the sites responsiveness because the original build was
deficient in this aspect.
A variety of web design and development on a freelance basis:
Drupal
Box Engineering Microsite - September 2013
Recruiting microsite for Box Engineering. Built in Drupal gardens.
Do Process - May 2012 to August 2012
