There are 4 main types of sentence.
1. A simple sentence.
2. A compound sentence.
3. A complex sentence.

Simple sentence
has the most basic elements that make
it a sentence: a subject, a verb, and a
completed thought.
The cat pounced.
The mouse ran away.

Sentence Dependant Clause
This is the house that Jack built.
