This document provides instructions for making a paper craft grasshopper toy that jumps using a rubber band. The toy is made from paper with mountain and valley folds along with cutting and gluing. When constructed, pressing down on the grasshopper's body and releasing it causes the rubber band to launch the toy into the air. The document cautions that the toy may fly unpredictably and that children need supervision during play.

Snap ups
This is a fun paper craft of a brightly-colored grasshopper, that
springs up into the air. Push down on his body to make him
flat, hold him down with your finger, then quickly let go and
watch how the rubber band makes him jump! Adjust the way
you control him to make his jumps even more lively. When you
finish construction, put it inside a book or card to give
someone a surprise when they open it up!
*The rubber band can make the toy fly in an unexpected
direction. Parents, please make sure that children play with it
safely to avoid injuries.
