This document summarizes the results of a growing-finishing cattle feed trial conducted by Pellet Technology USA from May 23, 2016 to February 26, 2017. The trial involved 96 heifers randomized into a control ration or pelleted ration to evaluate growth performance, feed efficiency and cost. Key results found the pelleted ration improved average daily gain by 2.6%, feed conversion by 7.9%, hot carcass weight by 3.8% and cost per pound of gain by 4.8% compared to the control ration. Overall the pelleted ration improved returns per heifer by 60%.
