GUIDELINES FOR VIVA-VOCE First of all, you must understand that you will not have more than 10 minutes for presenting the dissertation Within this time, you must be able to make an impact on the examiners Your presentation should be complete in terms of what your project is all about. For this purpose a little preparation is a must. Follow the instructions carefully and prepare a PPT with about 8-10 slides STEP 1: Prepare a chart with the following details: o Title of the study o Statement of the problem o Prepare the following table OBJECTIVES OF RESEARC H SUMMARY OF CONCLUSIO N SUGGESTION S THE STUDY DESIGN FINDINGS 1. STEP 2: PREPARATION OF THE PPT Power point presentations are very important but not as important as your content. PPT helps you to recollect what you want to say dont over depend on it. Suppose there is no availability of LCD ( due to some unforeseen reason), do not panic keep the chart with you and go ahead with the presentation orally.

Usually the questions are based on your literature review, methodology, and the findings. Following are the few common questions which are asked in viva most frequently. Question - Tell about your project? Answer Title of the project, Area of project (Marketing / Finance / HR), Company where project done, Brief objectives of project, Brief data source and data collected, tools and techniques used in data analysis, Findings and suggestions.
Question - Advantages of your project? Answer Describe problem identified and explain solution given in the findings and suggestions. Question - How you gathered requirement of your project? Answer Describe research methodology and the sources of data and type of data collected. Question - How and where you implement your project? Answer Describe suggestions. Question - What is the methodology used in your project? Answer Describe research methodology. Question - What are the limitations of your project? Answer Explain limitations Question - From where you get reference, guide for your project work? Answer Mostly we get guidance from our project guide, however also we have taken assistance from internet, books, journals etc. Question Who are the competitors of the company (where u did project)? Answer List of competitors Question What are the products or Services of the company (where u did project)?
